my story

Many of you have known me for many years and may know me as Stel, Stella, Stelly, or Estela. I began my career in hair at 17 years old in Lansing, Michigan. Shortly after moving to Grand Rapids I took my mother's advice and opened up my first salon, Stella's Styles in my home in order to be close to and raise my three beautiful children. A few years, locations, and name changes later, I am now located in Studio 3 salon address 976 3 Mile Rd. NW. in Grand Rapids Michigan. I am Co-Owner of Studio 3 Salon with my awesome partner Penny.

The name, Stella's Great Expectations, was inspired by my father who named me after 'Estella', a character in the novel, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
